Samsung Artik 053: tiny wireless computing module for the Internet of things

Of the entire series of Samsung tabs Artik Artik 0 series is the most compact: it is not aimed at the Central nodes in the networks of the Internet of things and separate the items that can have small dimensions and tight restrictions on energy consumption. Therefore, the new fee Artik 053 has dimensions of only 15 x 40 x 3 mm and supports power in a wide voltage range (5-12).

Computing a basis of the module is time-tested 32-bit CPU ARM Cortex-R4 clocked at 320 MHz, it is supplemented by RAM 1280 KB flash memory 8 MB. Artik 053 is controlled by an open real-time operating system RT, Tizen, among other things with the TCP/IP stack and Protocol support LWM2M. Module, possible in development environments IDE like Artik, CDT and OpenOCD. Integrated Wi-Fi 802.11 n (2.4 GHz), access to buses UART, I2C, SPI, PWM, ADC and GPIO.

To accelerate the development you can purchase a set Artik 053 Starter kit, which includes a daughter Board with all supported interfaces, microUSB port and JTAG connector. Supported encryption algorithms are AES, DES, TDES, SHA-1 and SHA-2 RNG PRNG and DTRNG, PUF. Module Artik 053 with a single order will cost $7.1, complete with child cost is estimated at $35.
