Samsung and LG are opening new plants in the US
Vice President, Samsung Electronics SEO Byung-Sam (Seo Byung-sam) confirmed today that the company plans to build a new plant in the United States.
At the moment, Samsung is at the initial design stage and talks with the government in five U.S. States. He refused to disclose details about the plant, saying that the company will make a formal announcement when a final decision is made.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the South Korean manufacturer plans to spend on new plant not less than 300 million dollars. It is also reported that the company plans to move part of the production of ovens from Mexico to the United States.
March 1, rival company LG Electronics announced that it will build a new plant in Tennessee, which from 2019 will be a washing machine. The plant cost $ 250 million will give the state 600 jobs.
