Samsung allowed to test self-driving cars in the US

The California Department of motor vehicles (DMV) updated the list of companies allowed to test self-driving cars on the roads of the state. The most interesting difference from the previous version of the list is the appearance in it of Samsung Electronics.

The representative of South Korean manufacturer confirmed that the company participates in the testing of Autonomous vehicles deployed in California. However, he said that Samsung has no plans to engage in the production of cars. The leading company in several sectors of the semiconductor industry and microelectronics, intends to develop a management system that uses artificial intelligence technologies and sensors and other components self-driving vehicles.
