Radeon RX Vega requires «a hell of a lot of energy»

Recently we learned that TDP professional card Radeon Vega Frontier Edition liquid cooler will be a monstrous 375 watts. This is probably the highest for a single-processor graphics card in history.

Model air cooler will do 300 watts. Against this background, the question arises, what is the TDP will be the gaming version. We assumed it was 275 watts. However, perhaps still more.

Marketing Director of MSI in the forum Tweakers reported that the saw specifications Radeon RX Vega, and she needs «a hell of a lot of energy.»

That in itself is, of course, says nothing. However, you may recall that TDP GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is 250W. It can be assumed that if specifications Radeon RX Vega pointed to the figure of 275 watts (by the way, as the Radeon R9 X), the MSI would not be so surprised. So, quite possibly, the TDP for a game card generation Vega will be the same 300 watts for the Radeon Vega Frontier Edition with air cooling.
