Qualcomm will help baseball club San Diego Padres to make a stadium Petco Park is more modern and more economical

Qualcomm has published a press release telling about the cooperation with baseball club San Diego Padres.

Qualcomm in conjunction with the OSIsoft PI System as part of the deal will help the club to improve the effectiveness of Petco Park stadium, owned by the team. It concerns the use of single-chip systems Snapdragon to build specialized systems and sensors that will collect and analyze data on important systems of infrastructure objects.

In particular, it will analyse the water consumption, electricity consumption and other details, which can be optimized that will reduce financial costs for maintenance of the stadium and adjacent facilities. To be precise, companies are counting on a 25 percent cost reduction in five years.
