Published data on the global supply of smartphones in the first quarter of 2017
The Chinese company Risingsun published data for world shipments of smartphones in the first quarter of 2017, according to which the leader remains Samsung. The South Korean manufacturer has shipped 80 million smartphones.
Second place with a score of 51 million Apple device holds. Third place goes to Huawei, the result of which amounted to 35 million smartphones. Fourth and fifth places went to Oppo and Vivo, which has put on the market respectively 26 and 19 million devices.
Sixth and seventh place was shared by Xiaomi and LG with the same result, 15 million smartphones. In eighth place was Lenovo, which amounted to 12 million units. Ninth place went to ZTE, which managed to ship 9 million smartphones. Closes the top ten with 8 million devices company Gionee.
Total smartphone shipments has declined from 439 million devices in the fourth quarter of 2016 up to 351 million in the first quarter of 2017, but increased by 5.4% compared to the same period a year earlier.
