Google has made available a beta version of the operating system Android Wear based on Android mobile OS 8.0 Oreo. Recall, the Android Wear OS designed for wearable electronic devices. The beta version can be installed on a real device (yet — only on watch LG Watch Sport) or run in the emulator for Android to use to develop and test applications.

The developer calls the update technical, clarifying that we are talking about support API level 26 and the improvements of the background services and notification channels. The final version is likely to be wearing the number of a number of Android Wear 2.X.

The said notification channels allow the user to choose which notifications he would like to see on a smart watch or other device. Limitations on background services, have become stricter — this applies, in particular, the frequency of queries for determining location. The result of the limitation should be to increase the time of Autonomous operation of devices.
