Prices on SSD and eMMC modules in the next quarter will increase by more than 10%, analysts DRAMeXchange

Analysts DRAMeXchange has prepared a forecast relating to the market of NAND flash memory in the first quarter of 2017. According to them, the demand exceeds the supply, causing the prices of products, which uses NAND flash memory, are increasing. This applies in particular to solid-state drives for computers and modules, eMMC, eMCP, UFS and used in mobile devices.

In the near future the situation will not change, so in the first quarter of 2017, the contract price for SSD will grow by at least 10%, and modules, eMMC, eMCP, UFS and even more.

Note, in the current quarter contract prices for SSD and without will increase by 6-10%. The imbalance of supply and demand in the market of NAND flash memory, analysts DRAMeXchange noticed in the third quarter.

In the future, the price of flash memory will depend on how well the producers mastered the production of its species surround layout (3D NAND). While they are unable to obtain a sufficiently high yield rate of production and the available production volumes of the planar memory is not enough to meet the growing demand.
