Presented flagship 16-megapixel image sensor OmniVision OV16B10

OmniVision has introduced a new image sensor OmniVision OV16B10 a resolution of 16 MP, which is designed for use in flagship smartphones. It can be applied in single and double chambers.

Image sensor OmniVision OV16B10 uses proprietary architecture Plus PureCel-S, pixel size is 1.12 microns. The sensor will receive the support of the improved system of phase detection autofocus, which allows you to quickly capture the target even in low light conditions.

OmniVision OV16B10 can sync to remove the material with an external gyroscope to the photos and videos turned out as clear and smooth, respectively.

Technology zHDR (zigzag high dynamic range) extends the dynamic range using short and long exposure in a single frame. This allows you to observe the picture in HDR mode in real time, as well as movies with extended dynamic range. This reduces the number of artifacts.

The sensor allows you to record 16-megapixel videos at 30 fps with the included technology zHDR, also modes are supported 4K at 60 fps and 1080p at 120 fps.

Mass production OmniVision OV16B10 will begin in the fourth quarter of 2017.
