Parade Technologies PS8460 and PS8468 eliminate jitter in the signals of DisplayPort 1.4
Company Parade Technologies announced the release of two chips of repeaters, eliminating the jitter (jitter) in the signal of the DisplayPort 1.3 and DisplayPort 1.4. PS8460 repeater — single-channel and PS8468 — channel, with the function of demultiplexing, allowing you to connect to one one of the two displays. According to the manufacturer, this is the first such product.
Both repeater mode support Dual-Mode, meaning they can process a signals such as DisplayPort and HDMI. In addition, they are suitable for use in devices with USB-C for signal processing DisplayPort Alt Mode.
The bandwidth of the repeaters to the specifications DisplayPort HBR3, that is equal to 8.1 GB/s. Recall that is the maximum transfer speed of DisplayPort 1.3 and 1.4. Supported and the maximum speed 2.0 HDMI (TMDS up to 6.0 GB/s). Repeaters not only eliminate jitter, but also restore the integrity of the signal distorted during the passage of the cables. They do not need external generator or the synchronization signal.
Chip PS8460 packaged in a QFN housing with dimensions of 6.5 x 4.5 mm with 46 conclusions PS8468 in case QFN size 5 x 10 mm with 66 conclusions. Already available their study samples.
