Oppo plans to increase smartphone shipments from 99.4 to 160 million devices in 2017
In the beginning of the year we published a note that subsidiaries of BBK Electronics company Oppo and Vivo is planning to ship 150 million smartphones this year. The analysts believe that Oppo and Vivo will be able to ship 120 and 100 million smartphones, respectively.
According to new data, Oppo continues to increase its production capacity in China, increasing the number of plants three to five, and also plans to open a new factory in India to substantially increase shipments of smartphones this year.
In 2016, according to IDC, shipments of smartphones Oppo has amounted to 99.4 million units. The increase compared to the year 2015 amounted to 132,9%. The company took 7.3 percent of the global smartphone market.
According to IHS Technology, this year Oppo plans to increase shipments by 61% to 160 million smartphones.
