Subsidiaries of BBK Electronics company Oppo and Vivo is planning to ship 150 million smartphones this year. However, analysts believe this is too high level for both companies.
Oppo and Vivo, like other Chinese smartphone manufacturers, do not focus only on the domestic market, but also actively strengthening their position overseas, particularly in developing countries. This, according to sources, can help companies to carry out the plan of deliveries for the year.
It should be added that Huawei, which ranks third in the ranking of suppliers of smartphones, last year shipped more than 140 million smartphones. As reported in the summer, the Oppo (and now Vivo) will compete with Huawei for third place in this rating this year.
Other experts say the glut in the Chinese smartphone market, adding that Oppo and Vivo will be difficult to compete with Samsung Electronics, Huawei and Xiaomi. Analysts suggest that the most realistic bars for Oppo and Vivo for this year are 120 and 100 million smartphones, respectively.
