Only 6.5% of Americans use only landlines
Fresh research conducted by the Ministry of health and social services (US Health & Human Services Department), indicates that Americans continue to abandon landline phones.
Only 6.5% of Americans use only landlines. 50.8% of respondents completely switched to mobile phones and smartphones. 39.4% of people use mobile and fixed telephones. 3.2% of respondents do not use telephone communication services.
The researchers said that the reason is the growing popularity of smartphones. A similar study conducted just 10 years ago, when appeared on the market the first smartphone, the iPhone, showed that only 15% of Americans use only mobile phones.
More than 70% of U.S. residents aged 25 to 34 years, using exclusively mobile devices. It is noteworthy that among them there are more adults with children than single.
