One-Blue introduces licensing program for Ultra HD Blu-ray

The company One-Blue, working in the centralized licensing of patents for developments related to the Blu-ray discs, announced the launch of a licensing program for Ultra HD Blu-ray (UHD).

The company One-Blue represents the interests of 17 patent holders: ARRIS Enterprises, Columbia Technology Ventures, CyberLink, Dell, Fujitsu, Hitachi, Consumer Electronics, HP, JVCKENWOOD, LG Electronics, Panasonic, Pioneer, Philips, Samsung, Sharp, Sony, Taiyo Yuden and Yamaha. Patents offered for licensing One-Blue, cover key elements of the standard Ultra HD Blu-ray of the Blu-ray Disc Association.

There are seven variants of licensing agreement UHD, which are addressed to manufacturers of various products, from turntables to software. Licensees that have signed the contract first will get preferential terms.
