ON Semiconductor announces the development platform for wearable electronic devices WDK1.0
Focusing on the OEM, and developers of wearable electronic devices, the company ON Semiconductor, which produces semiconductor chips, provided a platform for Wearable Development Kit (WDK1.0). The platform includes all components necessary to quickly begin creating devices such as smart watches.
Part WDK1.0 includes a programmable power controller NCP6915 that includes multiple converters, the chip charger NCP1855, LC709203F level indicator and controller wireless charging SCY1751 designed to power up to 10 watts. Inertial measurement unit FIS1100 made by MEMS technology, provides developers with the readings of gyro and accelerometer that detect movement in three degrees of freedom. There is also a temperature sensor and a driver chip LC898301 required for haptic feedback. Wireless connectivity provides a single-chip system nRF52832 Nordic Semiconductor Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). In its configuration includes the 32-bit core ARM Cortex and a transceiver operating in the 2.4 GHz band. Information is liquid crystal touch screen display size 1.44 inch resolution 128 x 128 pixels. The extension has a 26-pin connector that is suitable for connection of an external microcontroller, signal processor, GPS receiver and additional sensors.
The IDE is built on Eclipse. Additionally, you can download the app SmartApp, is available in versions for Android and iOS.
