Notebook-transformer Acer R Chromebook 13 built on a single-chip system MediaTek
Acer on the eve of the opening of the exhibition IFA 2016 introduced several new laptop models – among them was the Acer R Chromebook 13. The feature of novelty lies in the unusual for chromebooks hardware platform – SoC MediaTek MT8173. This single-chip system, having in its composition a Quad-core CPU (a dual core ARM Cortex-A72 and two Cortex-A53) GPU-PowerVR GX6250 used in the console Amazon Fire TV and tablet computers.
For devices of its category Acer Chromebook 13 features R good: he’s got a touch display IPS resolution 1920 x 1080 pixels, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal flash memory (in the simpler versions use modules to eMMC with capacity of 16 or 32 GB), and adapter 802.11 ac Wi-Fi, web-camera, capable of recording 720p video, and a USB-C port that is used not only for data transfer but also for charging. Among the interface connectors present USB 3.0 and full HDMI.
As you can see in the pictures, chromebook got a swivel screen – the display can recline to the angle close to 360°, as a result, the device takes the form of a tablet computer.
Weight Acer Chromebook 13 is R of 1.49 kg dimensions – 326 x 228 x 15.5 mm. it comes in Europe at 400 euros, in the USA the amount is the same, but denominated in local currency. Delivery grombala should begin in October.
