Nikon patents a lens for a full frame camera with a concave image sensor
As we previously reported, Nikon has not released a camera series DL high end. The reason has been called «the doubt that their production will be profitable taking into account the increased development costs and the projected reduction in sales due to the slowdown of the market.» Perhaps the manufacturer has decided to redirect resources to developing a full frame mirrorless camera that should outperform the competition in quality?
In this light, of particular interest is recently obtained by the Japanese manufacturer patent. It describes a lens with a focal length of 35 mm and a maximum aperture of F/2.0, designed for full frame cameras with a concave image sensor.
It is unknown, SLR or mirrorless camera is meant to be replaceable or non-replaceable lens.
Concave image sensor has been patented Nikon some time ago.
