Named three Taiwanese companies that will benefit from the decision of Sharp to discontinue supplies Samsung LCD panels
Taiwanese company AU Optronics (AUO), Microelectronics Novatek and Chipbond Technology will benefit from the decision of Sharp to discontinue the supply of LCD panels, Samsung Electronics, starting in 2017.
To date, about 10% of the total volume of the Samsung panels purchased from Sharp. We are talking about around five million TV panels in sizes of 40, 60 and 70 inches diagonally.
The decision will encourage Samsung to Sharp increase purchases of panels from Samsung Display, and to adjust the range, focusing on models with a screen size of 50, 65 and 75 inches.
