Motherboard MSI Z270 Tomahawk and Mortar B250M Arctic Arctic different white PCB
MSI has expanded its range of motherboards with two new products: Z270 Tomahawk Arctic and Arctic B250M Mortar. Products name alludes to the color version: PCB in opposition to many other models white, not dark. Only some elements of the motherboard (mainly the connectors) remained black. White the performance of the augmented contour RGB backlight, which, however, does not cover the entire perimeter of the boards.
Both models include a line of Gaming and is aimed at demanding users who expect to use the Intel Core sixth or seventh generations.
MSI Z270 Tomahawk Arctic is made in the ATX form factor and supports RAM DDR4-3800 MHz (OC mode) up to 64 GB.
This model has three PCIe x16 slots and three PCIe x1, two slots M. 2 (support drives with SATA 6 GB/s and PCIe 3.0 x4), six SATA 6 GB/s, audio codec Realtek ALC892 and Intel I219-V Gigabit, along with native HDMI & DVI ports, USB 3.1 Type-A and Type-C.
B250M Mortar Arctic is equipped with a modest, but not built on the flagship chipset and is characterized by a compact size microATX.
This model also supports 64 GB of DDR4 RAM, but the maximum memory frequency up to 2400 MHz (the maximum frequency in the case of Intel Core processors of the sixth generation – 2133 MHz).
PCIe x16 slots and x1 – two, the M. 2 is only one, although SATA 6 GB/s still six, and three video outputs: DVI, DisplayPort, and HDMI. Sound and network controllers are the same as in Z270 Tomahawk Arctic.
The cost of novelties is not reported, although Z270 Tomahawk Arctic already present in the catalogue of one of the famous online sites of the US where pre-order is estimated at $150.
