More than 60% of transactions via Internet banking in South Korea are conducted using smartphones
The Bank of Korea has published the latest statistics that show that more and more users prefer to use smartphones to conduct financial transactions.
In the first quarter of this year through applications for smartphones in South Korea was committed 94,12 transacci million, which is 7.3% more than in the previous quarter. Currently 61% of all banking transactions via the Internet are conducted using smartphones.
The second graph shows a stable growth of funds that are transferred between users through the smartphone app. In the first quarter of this year the total value of transactions rose by 8.3% and amounted to 3.24 billion dollars.
As of the end of March, more than 77 million people used the Internet banking via smartphones in Korea.
