Microchip calls DSC6000 the smallest MEMS generators

Generators are very common components of electronic devices, including mobile. In the latter case, and also in the IoT devices, especially important are low power consumption and small size. Microchip has announced the release of a family of generators DSC6000, which, according to her, have the smallest size and power consumption among the similar products. Generators covering the frequency range from 2 kHz to 100 MHz, are fabricated by MEMS technology.

The size of the generators Microchip DSC6000 Packed in the package VLGA and VDFN with four conclusions, depending on the model, equal to 1.6 x from 1.2 to 7 x 5 mm. the typical current consumption is equal to 1.3 mA. Generators are designed to operate in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +85°C. the advantages DSC6000 applies many times higher reliability compared to generators on quartz resonators.

The model is already available for order, priced from $0,81 per piece in the wholesale parties. The study also suggested that the fee Si50122-Ax-EVB price of $125.
