Meyer Optik collects funds for the release of the modern version of the lens Lydith 30/f3.5

Meyer Optik Görlitz continues to release modern versions of old lenses that are collecting funds for this site of collective financing KickStarter. Next, the fifth project is the production of a modern version of the lens Lydith 30/f3.5.

According to the manufacturer, the new version of the lens, released in 1964, has the potential to add to the pictures of «new dimensions». The special features of the lens refers to the focal length of 30 mm, providing a characteristic wide-angle lenses transfer prospects, and unique, recognizable blur outside of the DOF area.

Technical data full frame lens Lydith 30/f3.5:

  • Focal length — 30 mm;
  • Maximum aperture — F/3.5;
  • Minimum aperture — F/16;
  • Number of diaphragm blades — 12;
  • The optical scheme of five elements in five groups.
  • Minimum focusing distance is 0.16 m;
  • Weight is about 220g.

A lens with a manual focus lens is planned to be released in versions with mounts Canon EF, Nikon F, Sony E, Fuji X, Micro Four Thirds, M42, Pentax K and Leica M.

The minimum Deposit entitling to receive the lens in February 2018, is $699. Wish to lens in December 2017 it will cost $749. Hoping before July 4 to raise $50,000 by the authors of the project have already collected more than $160 000.
