Line Dock — external battery pack, the drive and hub system with the active cooling and possibility of wireless charging devices

Teams Line Dock and Arrow Electronics Team has successfully collected through Indiegogo funds for the release of a device called a Dock Line, which combines the functions of a portable battery, external SSD, and hub ports.

Dock Line is available in three sizes (12, 13 and 15″) to fit the MacBook laptops with displays of different diagonal. The body is made of the same aluminum alloy, the accessory provides up to 15 additional hours of work. The equipment includes three USB 3.0 ports, USB-C, HDMI, MiniDisplay Port and a slot for SD memory cards. The thickness is 9 mm.

The uniqueness of the Line Dock is in the system of active cooling, the surface of the accessory has a temperature on average 10°C below room. In addition, the Line Dock is equipped with wireless charging technology up to four mobile devices. This functionality can be useful for the iPhone 8, which, according to rumors, should have support for wireless charging.

As for the HDD capacity, it can reach 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB. The price of the Junior version without the SSD is $149, the version with storage capacity of 1 TB costs $599.

Production Line Dock will begin in March and deliveries are expected in June next year.
