LG will pay more than half a billion euros for the inflated prices of cathode-ray tube
In 2012, the European court found LG, Philips, Panasonic and other companies guilty of manipulating the price of cathode-ray tube.
During the investigation it was found that the heads of these companies colluded to establish favorable prices for these products in the period from 1996 to 2006.
Then these companies were imposed a total fine in the amount of about 1.5 billion euros. LG, in particular, had to pay to 492 million euros.
Within a few years continued the hearing on appeal the claim, which this week was rejected by the European court.
Ultimately, the court sentenced the LG to a fine in the amount of 514 million euros. The decision is final and not appealable.
