LG Display will produce OLED TV panels in China

The company LG Display made a decision to produce OLED TV panels at its plant, which is located in the Chinese city of Guangzhou.

The initial funding will amount to 870 million dollars, the decision was approved this week by the Board of Directors of LG Display. The event is noteworthy because for the first time, LG Display will start production of OLED panels outside of Korea.

According to the original plan OLED television panel was to be made at the factory P10 in the Korean city of Paju, but then the plans adjusted by downloading the factory with orders for the OLED display for smartphones.

Chinese factory LG Display will start producing OLED TV panels with a diagonal of 65 inches in the next year.

The sources added that China provides tax incentives to companies that manufacture products in the country.
