LG Chem will spend the grant in the amount of $12.6 million on clinical trials of a new polio vaccine
The largest chemical company in South Korea LG Chem announced today that it has received a grant in the amount of 12.6 million dollars from the charitable Foundation of bill and Melinda gates Foundation (Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation).
These funds will be spent on the expansion of production LG Chem in Korea, as well as in the testing of new polio vaccine in various countries about what was said in a small press release from LG Chem.
LG Chem is engaged in creation of non-activated polio vaccine in 2014, ready to move to phase two clinical trials.
LG Chem plans to start mass production of the vaccine in 2020 after obtaining permission from the world health organization.
