LG Chem and Proterra has created a new rechargeable cell for buses with a large reserve
LG Chem and Proterra has created a new rechargeable cell that will be used in the batteries of electric buses with great reserve. Similar buses are also produced by the American company Proterra.
The collaboration on this project started in 2016, but now Proterra started assembling the batteries in its factory, which is located in Burlingame, California.
Last year the company introduced the Proterra electric bus Catalyst E2 with a power reserve of 570 km, which can be used on virtually any long-distance route in the USA.
