Lenovo has produced two docking stations with USB ports,-C

A range of accessories Lenovo laptop with two docking stations: ThinkPad Thunderbolt 3 ThinkPad USB Dock and C Dock. Both models are not only a large number of interface connectors, but the presence among them of the USB ports.

The most powerful and interesting solution is a Thunderbolt Dock 3 — it comes complete with power adapter 135 watt, supports connecting dual displays with frame rates of 60 Hz and a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, might have connected the laptop up to 65 watts of power.

3 Thunderbolt Dock is equipped with five USB 3.0 ports, two DisplayPort video outputs and HDMI, D-Sub, RJ-45 and a combined connector for headphones and microphone.

C ThinkPad USB Dock, Thunderbolt does not support, so its more modest. This model is supplied with a power supply capacity of 90 watts and can pay for a charging notebook to 60 watts. To the docking station you can connect two monitors Full HD resolution with a frame rate of 60 Hz or a single 3840 x 2160 pixels with a frame rate of 30 Hz. For connection with peripherals has: three USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, and DisplayPort, D-Sub, RJ-45, one end with a diameter of 3.5 mm.

This year the number of Lenovo laptops equipped with USB ports-C, will increase significantly. This connector will be in the ThinkPad models T470, T470s, T570, 370 Yoga, X1 Carbon 2017, as well as several other, so that both docking stations should be employed.

The novelty will soon go on sale: ThinkPad USB Dock C will be available in the U.S. in January, and ThinkPad Dock Thunderbolt 3, a little longer — until Feb. The cost will be $200 and $280 respectively.
