Laptop Gigabyte Aorus X9 with two graphics cards GeForce GTX 1070 was significantly cheaper than we were promised
Gaming laptop Gigabyte Aorus X9 was first shown in the beginning of the year at CES 2017 in the form of a prototype. Then the company brought a pre-production sample, at Computex 2017. Now this model finally appeared on the Gigabyte website.
So, the Aorus X9 is equipped with a screen diagonal of 17.3 inches, which leads to considerable dimensions. They are equal 428 x 314 x 23.5-29.9 mm, with weight of 3.59 kg. However, it is worth noting that the laptop is equipped with two GeForce GTX 1070 in SLI mode, so probably Gigabyte resorted to complex Nvidia Max-Q when designing its flagship, to keep so low for such a configuration the thickness.
The model is CPU Intel Core i7-7820HK. Interestingly, the RAM is only 8GB or 16GB, although the laptop is four slots for memory modules so that maximum capacity can reach 64 GB. For data storage there are three storage: one 2.5 inch and a couple of SSD M. 2 format. Their amount is not specified, so you can expect different options.
Gigabyte Aorus X9 will be available with IPS panel 3840 x 2160 pixels or WVA display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and a frame rate of 120 Hz. You can also note a mechanical keyboard with backlight, ESS Sabre DAC, battery capacity 94,2 W·h and the set of ports, including Thunderbolt 3, USB 3.1 C USB 3.0 (x3), Mini DisplayPort 1.3, HDMI 2.0, card reader and audio jacks. The cooling system includes eight heat pipes and four fan.
All this is stated on the official website, but third-party sources claim that in the minimum configuration of the laptop is estimated at $ 1,750, which clearly indicates the existence of more affordable versions. The top version will cost 3700 dollars, which is significantly less than predicted earlier reports.
