Laowa Magic Format Converter allows you to use the lenses for Canon and Nikon cameras together with Fujifilm GFX 50S, without losing the dimensions of the frame

In September last year, it was announced medium format mirrorless Fujifilm photosystem GFX. The first camera of this system was the model Fujifilm GFX 50S. As for the lenses, to date, released five models. Another release is expected before the end of the year, and in 2018 will be a large-aperture telephoto fixed focal length lens and teleconverters.

Company Venus Optics announced the release of a device called Laowa Magic Format Converter that will allow use with camera Fujifilm 50S GFX full frame lenses for Canon and Nikon cameras.

This adapter is interesting because it stretches the image circle formed by the full-frame lenses, frame medium format, eliminating the vignetting and sharpness fall of at the edges. Wherein the focal length of the lens is increased by 1.4 times and the maximum aperture is reduced one step. According to the manufacturer, the adapter does not degrade image quality. Full-size sample pictures in RAW format are on the Venus Optics website.

Both versions of the adapter (mount Nikon and Canon) should appear on sale in July. Closer to this date, the manufacturer promises to call rates.
