Laboratory Sidewalk Labs will get to develop 12 acres of land in downtown Toronto
In 2015, Google has created a laboratory Sidewalk Labs, which is now already a part of Alphabet holding company, is engaged in solving various urban problems. Last year it became known that the plans for the lab — construction of the whole city. It would allow hassle-free to explore these or other ways to solve those or other problems.
Of course, we are not talking about a full-fledged city with an area of dozens of square kilometers. Thanks to the new data it became known that the Sidewalk Labs has applied for a development area of about 50,000 m2 in downtown Toronto.
The area is quite small, but it will suffice to reproduce a small area of the city or any particular part of the infrastructure.
In addition, it is known that the Sidewalk Labs discussed with the relevant authorities the possibility of creating such areas in Denver and Detroit, but the fate of these projects.
What and when will start to build a Sidewalk Labs in Toronto, is still unknown.
