KGI Securities claims that the iPhone 8 will get a glass case for wireless charging
At the beginning of the month, the newspaper Nikkei reported that the company Foxconn is testing wireless charging for the anniversary of the iPhone 8, which should go on sale in September next year.
KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (Ming-Chi Kuo) in a recent statement claims that the testing was successful, and the iPhone 8 will actually be support for wireless charging technology. To improve the efficiency of this technology, in particular, Apple had to abandon the use of the aluminum body in favor of an all-glass housing.
Recall that the first rumors that the new iPhone will receive a glass case, appeared in March. Ming-Chi Kuo confirmed their first in April and now this week.
According to the analyst, the exclusive module supplier for wireless charging will be the company Pegatron. The source noted that modern technology allows you to charge and thus the device in metal cases, however, the resulting interference leads to slow charging.
Ming-Chi Kuo adds that customers will be offered kits with the new iPhone and wireless chargers.
