InvenSense and Sonion introduced the O series microphones manufactured by MEMS technology

Company InvenSense and Sonion announced the release of the O series microphones manufactured by MEMS technology. Their key feature is the tiny dimensions: the dimensions of the models O8AC03 and O8BC03 equal to 3.35 x 2,50 x 0.98 mm (with a volume approximately equal to 8 mm3, is reflected in the designation), and the dimensions of the models O11AC03 and O11BC03 — 3.35 x 2.50 x 1,29 mm (the approximate volume is 11 mm3). The new microphones are called hearing AIDS.

For microphones of the series O characterized by high signal/noise, the threshold of overload and very low power consumption. The microphones are optimized for operation at supply voltage of 0.9 V.

Delivery microphones O series to begin in January 2017.
