Intel is credited with the intention to release a 12-core processor family Skylake-X
As you know, some sellers significantly reduced the price of Intel ahead of AMD Ryzen solutions. This suggests that AMD has created at least serious enough competitor Intel.
On this background, the Network appeared rumors that Intel will strengthen the family of processors Skylake-X. Recall, these CPU’s will replace the generation Broadwell-E will be LGA 2066. It can be assumed that the new family will be processors with six, eight and maybe even ten cores, like the Broadwell-E.
However, the new products AMD can force Intel to go on the gain line through the first segment of the 12-core processor! No details yet, and in General this is only a rumor. However good competition may force Intel to change strategy to produce new models, strengthen the line and reduce prices. In fact, much of this we are already seeing Ryzen haven’t even went on sale.
Of course, if a 12-core processor Intel Skylake-X still appears, its value will be so high that a direct competition of the question will be.
