Intel has introduced corporate SSD DC P4500 and P4600
Intel yesterday introduced corporate SSD DC P4500 and the P4600. They do not belong to the line Optane and is based on a simple memory 3D NAND TLC.
SSD is made in the form of expansion cards HHHL PCIe x4 and in the form factor 2.5-inch connector U. 2 and NVMe support. In particular, new items are allocated in full support of the standard Management Interface NVMe enabling servers equipped with IPMI, to offer full access to SMART data and update the drive firmware by the BMC, regardless of the operating system of the server.
