Intel Core i9-7900X managed to disperse over 6 GHz

May 31, before the start of sales of the processors Intel Skylake-X, enthusiasts were able to overclock the CPU Core i9-7900X to the frequency of 5.7 GHz, which allowed him to set a few new records. Then we said that after the release of new products in sales records..

And so it happened. The overclocker with the nickname SOFOS1990 managed to make it work the same CPU frequency 6,016 GHz! For cooling we used liquid nitrogen and the motherboard was made by Gigabyte SOC Champion X299.

The processor in the test Submitting Prime was able to gain an impressive 12 189,52 points. This allowed not only to set a new record for 10-core processors, but the record for single-processor systems in General. In fairness, the overclocker Alex@ro’s with the same CPU at a frequency of 6 GHz exactly behind the leader by only 28 points.
