Intel Atom C3000 will exist in the 16-core versions
Intel has talked about the new generation of Atom processors C3000 intended for storage devices, servers, networking equipment and solutions to the IOT.
These processors will contain from 2 to 16 cores with a frequency of from 1.5 to 2.2 GHz. New items will be allocated with a set of features and functions that are United under the term RAS (Reliability, Availability, Serviceability). They are aimed at improving the reliability, availability and serviceability, and previously were mostly CPU family Xeon.
Test samples will be available in the second half of the year. New items will replace the processors Atom C2000, which, as recently became known, contain a defect that could lead to the exit of the CPU failure and data loss.
