Innolux cooperates with Sharp in the development of OLED panels
The Innolux company has partnered with Sharp to develop OLED panels, helping in the construction of the factory of Fujitsu in Japan that will produce OLED panel on palokaj 4,5 G. this was reported by a source with reference to the word Hsin-Chen Tuan (Tuan Hsing-chien), the former Director of Innolux, who went to work for Sharp once the company Foxconn (Hon Hai Precision Industry), which belongs to Innolux, last year became the majority shareholder of Sharp.
According to Tuan, the possibility of Innolux and Sharp were complementary from the point of view of technology and production capacity. From Sharp has a manufacturing production line of OLED panels, but fairly simple and Innolux pilot line with more modern equipment. So the engineers at Sharp and Innolux have been developing an experimental line of Innolux until commissioned factory Sharp.
In addition to cooperation in the field of OLED, Innolux and Sharp can cooperate in the production of LCD panels IGZO. Since the lines for the production of panels of amorphous silicon can be relatively easily converted for the production of IGZO panels, it is likely that Innolux will provide Sharp some of its production facilities to master on them the production of IGZO panels.
