Three-month research conducted by comScore at the end of last year, showed that the user base of the iPhone in the United States reached its historic high.

As of the end of December 2016 in the U.S., there were 85.8 per million iPhone owners aged 13 and older. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus is about 15% of the total.

The most popular are two previous generation iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s with the older versions (Plus), which owns almost 50% of the market. About 18% of smartphone owners still use the Apple iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, or iPhone 5c.

According to Kantar Worldpanel and IHS, Markit, respectively, the iPhone is the most popular smartphone in the U.S. and around the world. The results from comScore indicate that in the U.S., the share of iOS is 43% and Android is 54%.
