In the UK in January, it sold a record number of electric vehicles
In January of this year in the UK were registered 7279 electric and hybrid vehicles, thereby set a new record for sales of such machines in the country. This is almost 20% more than in January last year (6072 cars).
For comparison, over the same period, it sold 78 thousand cars with diesel and 88 thousand cars with gasoline engines. Cars with alternative fuel sources account for only 4.2% of the total number of new cars sold in the UK in January of this year. The previous record (3,6%) was recorded in November of last year.
It is obvious that the interest in electric vehicles continues to grow. New, more affordable cars like Chevrolet Bolt and Tesla Model 3, should spur sales of this type of machines.
