In the Netherlands unveiled the world’s first bridge created using 3D printing
3D printing is one of the most important new technologies of our time. In fact, it is a quiet revolution that in the foreseeable future will fundamentally change many industries.
For example, in the Netherlands, recently opened the world’s first concrete bridge, printed on a 3D printer. Bridge with a total length of eight meters for the three months erected in the city of Gemert. It is designed mainly for cyclists.
Builders digging BAM Infra, which was engaged in the project, claiming that the bridge consists of 800 layers, and to create it took much less concrete than in case of classical methods of construction. The design was tested at maximum load 2 tons.
