In the image sensor OmniVision OV2775 for automotive electronics technology is used OmniBSI-2 Deep Well
Along with the image sensors OV10650 and OV7261, OmniVision this week introduced another image sensor for automotive electronics. It’s called OV2775.
In the image sensor OmniVision OV2775 use technology OmniBSI-2 Deep Well, according to the manufacturer, allows to obtain a 16-bit signal with a linear quantization with a single exposure. As stated, the sensor demonstrates best-in-class sensitivity and dynamic range OmniVision estimated at 120 dB. More specifically, in normal mode, the dynamic range is 94 dB, but in double exposure mode due to the very short additional exposure could extend the range to 120 dB
Sensor resolution 2 megapixels with a pixel size of 2 microns supports a resolution of Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels). Areas of application include front camera and rear vision in driver assistance systems and other cameras that are installed in cars. The sensor can be used in conjunction with image processors OV491 and OV495. Size OV2775 in the performance of the CSP is equal to 6.7 x 5.9 mm.
Currently available study samples OV2775 and serial production, the manufacturer intends to begin in the second quarter of 2017.
