In the first quarter iPhone shipments declined only in China and Japan

In the first quarter of this year, total shipments of iPhones dropped by 0.8% compared to the same period a year earlier.

According to Kantar Worldpanel, in fact, iPhone shipments fell only in China and Japan, where the decline was 8.6% and 1.7%, respectively. Apple is able to take 12.4 percent of the Chinese smartphone market, showing the worst result since the second quarter of 2014. 7 however, iPhone was the best smartphone in the Chinese market with result of 3.8% of total sales.

While the supply of iPhone in countries such as the UK, USA and Australia, in the first quarter of this year increased by 5.6%, 5.2% and 3.8%, respectively.

Also Kantar Worldpanel has calculated that the total share of Chinese smartphones in the five largest European markets (UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain) amounted to 22%.
