In the bowels of the fitness lab Apple for five years, more than 10,000 people held 33,000 training with the purpose of collecting relevant data

Despite the fact that Apple watch is not positioned in first place for athletes, Cupertino giant has quite a lot of research in this direction.

According to sources, a special laboratory in the bowels of Apple, responsible for research on sport, recently noted that 33 000 training sessions with a total duration of 66 000 hours. Supposedly this has allowed Apple to collect more data about sports activity and exercise in General than any other such study in history.

For all the time the laboratory was visited by more than 10,000 participants of various experiments and tests. This effort began in 2012. By 2015, when Apple told about the existence of such a lab, she has already accumulated a database of more than 18,000 hours of training. Interestingly, all participants in these test — Apple employees.

All of these studies aims to make current and future Apple devices related to this field more accurate. Moreover, as we already reported, Apple could be the first to occupy a niche in the consumer wearable electronics, is able to act as a medical devices.
