In 2016, the Explorer has lost 330 million users

According to the updated statistics on the website NetMarketShare, this year was very successful for the Chrome browser, which displayed an increase from about 35% to 55% of the market.

But the share of Internet Explorer, which at the beginning of the year was about 44%, by the end of October decreased to 23%. If we talk about Microsoft Edge, the proportion of new browser increased from approximately 3% to 5%.

According to analysts, since the beginning of the year Microsoft lost about 331 million users to Internet Explorer, including about 40 million people only in October of this year. The bulk of these people started to use Chrome.

If we recall last year, Internet Explorer has held more than 50% market share, while Chrome owned about 27%.
