Image sensor OmniVision OS05A supports HDR

OmniVision introduced the image sensor OS05A, which uses proprietary technology PureCel. Optical format sensor type CMOS back — illuminated- 1/2,7 inch, resolution — 5 MP, the pixel size of 2 microns. Image sensor OmniVision OS05A supports shooting video with extended dynamic range (HDR). To expand the dynamic range, you can use double exposure of two groups of pixels are staggered.

Sensor allows you to shoot with a maximum resolution of 2688 x 1944 pixels with a frequency of 60 K/S. When shooting with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels frequency can be increased to 120 fps to get the slow effect of movement. Available shoot with aspect ratio 4:3 and 16:9. The sensor is equipped with interfaces, MIPI and LVDS. Appearance — CSP 79 conclusions.

According to the manufacturer, OS05A will find application in cameras and consumer electronics.

Currently available study samples OS05A. Serial production of the manufacturer expects to begin in the second quarter.
