IDC analysts have estimated the market for enterprise storage systems in the fourth quarter of 2016 11.1 billion

The global market for enterprise storage in the last quarter amounted to 11.1 billion dollars. This represents a decrease in sales compared to the same period in 2015 of 6.7%. The total amount of enterprise storage shipped during the quarter, for the year increased by 18.3% and amounted to 52.4 DL. These data are presented in the report prepared by experts of analytical company IDC.

A market leader with the big separation from competitors is the company Dell, whose share of 32.9%. Share a year ago Dell was 36.8 per cent. Shares of the three parties are so close that IDC analysts, all of them placed in second place. It company HP (10,2%), IBM (10,1%) and NetApp (10.0 per cent). A year ago, shares of these three companies was equal to 10.1%, 11.3% and 9.3 per cent respectively. Completing the top five company Hitachi, whose share for the year decreased from 7.6% to 7.0%.
