IBM again reported lower revenue, but this time by only 0.5%

IBM reported for the third quarter of 2017 financial year. The revenue of the manufacturer amounted to 19,153 billion. It’s only 73 million dollars less than a year earlier, however, this means that the quarter was 22 in a row, when IBM fixes the revenue decline.

Net profit percentage decreased stronger: from 2,853 to 2,726 billion. Gross margin declined by 1 percentage point and amounted to 45.9%.

Despite the overall fall in revenue, not all departments reported on the decline. For example, Cognitive Solutions division, Systems and Global Financing was able to increase revenue by 4%, 10% and 4%, respectively.
