Huawei has managed to surpass the plan, shipped 140 million smartphones before the end of 2016
Last year, Huawei Technologies shipped about 106 million smartphones, saying that in two years she’s going to get ahead of Apple in this market.
In April 2016 was announced the company’s forecast for deliveries this year, under which Huawei Technologies planned to increase the volume of supply up to 140 million smartphones.
Some analysts consider this forecast too optimistic, Huawei agreed to this and lowered the plan to 120 million units. In mid-October it was announced about overcoming the mark of 100 million smartphones.
Today, however, Vice-President Huawei Chengdong Yu (Yu Chengdong) has stated that at the end of the year sales have increased significantly, as a result the company has already shipped more than 140 million smartphones.
One of the most popular smartphone was the Huawei P9 and the Huawei Mate 8, sales of which exceeded 9 and 7 million units respectively. Yu Chengdong sure that the total sales of the Huawei P9 will be at least 12 million units.
