HP Pavilion Wave — unusual compact PC in a triangular enclosure wrapped with acoustic cloth

Along with the mini-PC Slice Elite, HP announced a little more overall computer Pavilion Wave. The novelty, like all other devices Pavilion line, designed for home users, houses and flats to which it is willing to occupy a Central place in the entertainment center.

Pavilion Wave looks unusual due to the triangular shape with rounded corners, although the resemblance to the Mac Pro is still observed. Exterior of the case is wrapped with acoustic cloth, and by «plate»-the reflector is built-in loudspeaker — Wave Pavilion can sound by itself, connect it to the speaker system not necessarily.

The components inside are fixed along each of the three sides: one is mounted on the motherboard with the memory modules on another drive, on third — discrete (!) video card and the cooling system components.

HP Pavilion Wave is equipped with two video outputs (DisplayPort and HDMI), three USB 3.0 ports, one USB 3.1 Type-C standard sockets with a diameter of 3.5 mm for connecting audio devices, as well as RJ-45 and a slot for SD memory cards.

In the maximum configuration Wave Pavilion will offer 16 GB of RAM, 2 TB of space for the OS and files, a Core i7 processor. However, the known and a number of fixed configurations:

  • Intel Core i3-6100T, 8 GB RAM and HDD 1TB — $530;
  • Intel Core i5-6400T, 8 GB RAM, SSD 128 GB and HDD 1 TB — $680;
  • Intel Core i5-6400T, 8 GB RAM, HDD 1 TB, discrete graphics card AMD Radeon R9 — $700.

Dimensions HP Pavilion Wave — 261 x 167 x 172 mm. the Novelty will go on sale in the U.S. from September 16.
